Curity AMD Sponges, manufactured by Kendall, are antimicrobial dressings that contain PHMB (Polyhexamethylene Biguanide). PHMB resists bacterial colonization within the sponge and penetration of the dressing. PHMB also provides protection against gram negative, gram positive and fungi/yeast microorganisms including MSRA and VRE and limits cross-contamination.
